In order for you to gain best understanding of my skills and experiences that combined describe who I'm as a Data Professional, below I provide my work style and methods of how i get the work done. While following this style of work I'm still open to adapting new techniques and experiences that may lead to more effective results.
Delivering consistent and sound data - driven solutions for a business requires set of unique analytical and technical skills.
In my typical work flow, I start with analyzing and understanding current business challenge that I intend to solve. Once i have clear picture of what is expected from the project, then I divide project into 2 phases:
1. Finding data - driven solutions and insights
2. Automating the process to deliver consistent results
During Phase 1, I work on finding the right data through data exploration and data profiling, extracting the data, processing data and loading it to proper platform using modern ETL technoligies and tools like data-scraping, API, Python, PySpark, SQL, Advanced Excel and Cloud computing and storage services . Once I have relevant data available and ready for use, I start analyzing data, finding inter-relationships and connections with business challenge I intend to solve, extract valuable insights, forecast future trends and derive actionable decisions. Armed with all my data - findings I draft presentation for stakeholders and visualize my findings to make it more effective and time-efficient using modern analytical tools and technologies like Power Point, Power BI, Plotly Dash, Machine Learning Algorithms, Cloud Analytical Platforms and services
During Phase 2. I start on drafting data pipeline architecture to automate Phase 1. For this purpose I write a script capable of performing full scale ETL process. Then using AWS Cloud services, I allocate necessary services and build an orchestrated and automated process integrating previousely developed script into pipeline and design a schedule for pipeline to run based on business needs, all using AWS cloud services.
I've always had a passion for analytical work, often times I find myself making minor day to day life decisions based on quick series of analysis unconsciously. In college, when presented with materials for work, I would quickly sort out valuable content from peripheral that would enable me spend more time on studying relevant subject and be ahead of my peers. Nowadays, with data becoming so overwhelmingly BIG, it's crutial to have knowledge and skillts to be able to analyze it using modern tools and technologies. Below I provide set of skills I learned, practiced and obtained during my career:
